Service Dog & Pet Policy

Diamante has introduced a new pet policy to help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all.

Service Animal Access & Definition

Service animals that meet the official regulations of being professionally trained to assist with a specific disability-related task are welcome in all areas open to members and guests. This includes:

  • Indoor & Outdoor Restaurants
  • Clubhouses
  • Golf Courses
  • Fitness Centre, Wellness Areas, and Pool Patios
  • Common Spaces and Walking Paths

To ensure a smooth experience, we ask that your service dog registration be completed through the owner’s concierge/member experience teams prior to your visit.

Emotional Support Animals (ESA) & Pets

Please note that Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are classified as pets under this policy. While we value their companionship, their access is limited to ensure the comfort of all members:

  • Permitted Areas: Registered pets and ESAs are welcome on common spaces, walking paths, and terrace patio areas of dining facilities.
  • Exclusions: Pets and ESAs are not permitted inside indoor restaurants seating, Dunes Deli market, gym, wellness areas, or golf courses.
  • Species & Weight: Dogs are the only animal species that qualify as ESAs. Both pets and ESAs must weigh 20 kg (44 lbs) or less.
  • Leash Policy: All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
  • Capacity Limit: To maintain a serene environment, only one (1) pet/ESA is allowed per designated area at any time. Only one (1) ESA is permitted per room.

Registration Requirements

All animals must be registered through the owner’s concierge/member experience teams to ensure proper channelling of information.

For Service Dog Designation (Full Access):

To grant access to indoor restaurants and restricted areas, the following documentation is required:

  • Professional Certification: Documentation of professional training from a recognized organization (e.g., ADI, Canadian Guide Dogs, or Perros de Asistencia México).
  • Medical Letter: A letter from a licensed healthcare provider confirming the individual’s need for the service animal.
  • Visible Identification: A vest, harness, or service tag must be worn in member areas.

For Registered Pets & ESAs:

  • Owner Responsibility: Owners are responsible for all international health and vaccination documentation required for travel to Mexico.
  • Member Impact: Owners must be mindful of their animal’s impact on other members to maintain a pleasant atmosphere.
