Diamante on the Cover

Diamante is thrilled to be featured on the cover of the latest edition of Destino Los Cabos. Read the full article about Diamante’s preparation for the World Wide Technology Championship and the role Diamante has played in the transformation of Los Cabos as an internationally renowned travel destination.

The full event schedule for 2023 is available, including the televised event scheduled to take place at El Cardonal from November 2 – 5 and a non-televised Pro-Am event scheduled for November 1.

This is the first major televised event to occur at Diamante, and we are thrilled to showcase our development, Diamante’s hospitality, and our exceptional staff to a global audience through the World Wide Technology Championship. Our team realizes that with this incredible opportunity, there will be extensive work required by the project and we are committed to ensuring that Diamante is well represented for our TV audiences, participants, and guests.

Additionally, while El Cardonal will be closed for an extended period leading up to tournament week, we look forward to reopening the golf course on November 7 for our annual Club Championship. Club Championship participants will then have the opportunity to enjoy the golf course in similar conditions and with similar pin placements as the tour players had just a few days earlier.

For those living at Diamante, we assure you that we are keeping your comfort and security as a top priority. We are working closely with law enforcement resources to increase security for the duration of the event and to aid our team in boosting visibility and monitoring efforts throughout the community.

We want to be clear on how Diamante may be impacted in the weeks leading up to the event and event week itself, so we have created an informational document that you can access at your convenience. This document will be updated regularly as we receive additional information on the event, necessary closures, infrastructure and site-work activities, and beyond.

This is a very exciting opportunity for our community, and we look forward to providing unparalleled access to a major tour event.

What is the World Wide Technology Championship?

The World Wide Technology Championship (WWTC) is an annual PGA TOUR FedExCup event. Since 2007, the WWTC has been held at Mayakoba and was the first PGA TOUR event contested in Mexico and also was the TOUR’s first official event ever staged outside of the United States or Canada. The tournament is broadcast live on Golf Channel in the United States, Golf Channel Latin America in Mexico and Latin America and through the PGA TOUR’s global distribution network to more than 200 countries and territories around the world.  The WWTC is entering a new era and moving to Los Cabos and has selected Diamante’s El Cardonal Course to host the event for the next five years. World Wide Technology is a systems integrator who provides digital strategy, innovative technology and supply chain solutions to large public and private organizations. The company embodies its philosophy of “we play a vital role in changing the world for the better” through creating a culture of “grit and determination, and the courage to do the right thing.
